803-805 Sixth Avenue

USA / New Jersey / West New York / Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas), 803-805
flower shop / florist, commercial building

4-story twin commercial building completed in the 1870s. The two facades were originally identical, but the brownstone cladding at No. 803 has been replaced by brown stucco. Both have metal-and-glass storefronts at the ground floor, and the upper floors have three bays of single-windows at each facade, with simple stone sills and curved tops. The facades are crowned by a matching pair of black metal roof cornices with brackets and panels.

During the 1880s, 805 6th Avenue was home to a well-known restaurant and billiard parlor operated by the Nail Brothers. The ground floors are now occupied by George Rallis Wholesale Florist, and US Evergreen Wholesale Florist.
