The manor, originating from the Middle Ages belonged to Pirita Convent. Later it often changed hands. The Early-Classicist main building of the end of the 18th century was rebuilt several times in the 19th and the 20th century, even after a fire in 1905.
Today, the Freedom Fighters’ (WWII veterans') Health Centre is located in the manor. The garden temple and several stylish Classicist outbuildings are also still there. By the historical distribution the manor was in Juuru Parish in Harjumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Juuru Municipality in Raplamaa County.
