The estate was first mentioned in 1467. For longer periods, it belonged to the noble families of von Wrangell, von Hastfer and von Lilienfeld. Both the Baroque wooden main building (altered in the 19th–20th centuries) and a number of outbuildings date back to the end of the 18th century. A nursery school is located in the main building at present. By the historical distribution the manor was in Rapla Parish in Harjumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Rapla Municipality in Raplamaa County.
