This plant was the first in the world that produced ferrochrome with modern high tech plasmatechnologi. It was started in 1986 and 4,5 years later the plant was shut down. The reason for the shut down was that the price of ferrochrome in the world decreased and the price for ferro ore increased. The owners were not intressed enough to put in more money.
