Air Putih is a neighbourhood within the city of George Town. It lies within the Ayer Itam suburb, 5.1km west of the city centre. Air Putih is named after Sungai Air Putih, a tributary of the larger Sungai Pinang.
Formerly a rural corner of Ayer Itam, residential estates were developed at Air Putih beginning in the late 1950s. The Ayer Itam Reservoir, adorned with a white clock tower built in the 1960s, is one of the major landmarks within the neighbourhood. Another is the Ayer Itam Roundabout, where the Penang Anti-Chinese War Memorial is situated.
