Estate home designed c. 1918 in the Federal style by Peabody, Wilson & Brown on originally 88 acres of land for Albert Kramer, Sr {attorney, financier, capitalist}. Kramer served as president of Equitable Trust Co., a General Electric holding company, and Westinghouse Properties Co. He also served as director of several companies. In 1920 he commissioned formal landscaping by Ellen Biddle Shipman. As it bordered Ambrose Clark's estate, "Broad Hollow House", it became an ideal country house for fox hunting.

The estate was subsequently purchased by Allan Sigmund Lehman {financier, capitalist, industrialist}. Lehman served as a partner of the Lehman Brothers investment banking firm and director of General Realty & Utilities Corp., and Studebaker Corp. It burned down in 1977 after catching fire and the land was made into an condominium complex. The estate was eloquently written about in Monica Randall's book "The Mansions of Long Island's Gold Coast". Lehman also had an estate in Tarrytown.
