299-foot, 27-story mid-century modern cooperative-apartment building completed in 1971. Designed by Ifill, Johnson & Hanchard, the tower is clad in beige pre-cast concrete and brown stone panels. It is surrounded on the north and part of the east sides by a 1-story podium of concrete and brick, painted beige on the north side. The only opening on the north side of the podium along 91st Street is a metal service door at the east end. The podium along 91st Street is topped by a metal railing enclosing landscaped plaza space. Along the avenue the podium is lined with glass-and-metal storefronts with brick piers. The podium ends just shy of the south end of the tower.
The main entrance in the south facade of the tower, where the ground floor is recessed behind concrete piers supporting the floors above. The tower is set behind a landscaped plaza at the south end of the site, and the entry has sliding glass doors. To the east is a ramp down to the underground parking garage.
The tower is almost square in plan, with brown stone panels at the ends of each facade, wider at the left side than the right. In between the west and east elevations have seven bays of double-windows surrounded by beige concrete piers and spandrels. On the west facade with glass French doors replacing the windows at the bay on either side of the center bay on most floors. These floors have projecting, square concrete balconies with metal railings beginning at the 6th floor and continuing up the facades in a 2-on, 1-off pattern. The east facade has balconies only at the center bay. The north and south facades have six bays of double-windows, with balconies at the 2nd bay from each end.
The building contains 175 apartments. The ground floor along the avenue is occupied by Trattoria Il Gusto wine bar, and D'Agostino grocery.
