Palmares Wind Farm is located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, about 35 km SSE of Capivari do Sul (where Routes BR-101 and RS-040 cross, 70 km east of Porto Alegre). It is part of the Fazenda Rosário group of wind farms (accessed from BR-101 at km 77.5) and consists of the south part of the east string of 8 turbines. It was commissioned in 2011 and consists of 4 Wobben E82/2300 wind turbines on concrete towers with a combined nominal capacity of 9.2 MW.
