7-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1894. Designed by Henry Andersen, it is clad in orange brick and dark-red painted stone. The ground floor along the avenue is lined with metal-and-glass storefronts divided by slender dark-grey cast-iron piers into six bays. The iron lintels above the modernized storefronts have gentle arches with foliate ornament along the tops. The residential entrance is on 76th Street, with glass double-doors and a fanlight recessed in a large round-arch that is flanked by pairs of fluted and banded stone columns supporting an entablature with foliate ornament at the ends and a panel is the middle reading "AYLSMERE", topped by a cornice. There is a small, narrow opening and a small round-arched opening with a keystone to the right, both bricked-in behind iron grilles. The west end has a larger round-arched storefront window, also with a keystone. To the left of the entry there are three round-arched single-windows with keystones.
The upper floors are brick, and set off by a dentil course with an egg-and-dart molding. Above the entrance, the 2nd floor has a bay of three narrow windows separated by slender stone columns with Ionic capitals; the bay is flanked by paired columns (with foliate ornamented panels between and behind them), which carry a paneled and dentiled entablature above, with a sunburst in the center. To the left there are three bays of single-windows, and to the right there are seven bays; the three on either side of the center bay are round-arched; the rest are square-headed, and the first of the square-headed bays is smaller. There is stone banding across the lower half of the 2nd floor, and the arched windows have red stone voussoirs. Red stone quoins frame the edges of the 2nd-3rd floors. Beginning at the 3rd floor the bay above the entrance has two regular-sized windows. These windows are all square-headed and except for the western four, have stone surrounds with rounded upper corners and banding, with keystones at the tops, and they sit on a stone sill course, with bead moldings and brackets below the outer of the bays with surrounds.
A stone band course runs below the 4th floor, where the windows have simpler stone moldings (except again for the western bays). The two end bays, the two above the entrance, and one other bays are round-arched and have projecting stone balconettes on two short console brackets, with slender Ionic columns supporting a frieze and rounded pediment above each of the windows. At the 5th floor the western four bays have simple stone sills and lintels, while the others have stone surrounds painted orange-tan instead of red, matching the brick color. The 6th-floor windows are all round-arched, with bead moldings above the western four, and beveled stone voussoirs topping the others. The top floor is set off by a stone band course with dentils and a pattern of foliate ornament, and has square-headed windows, with three narrower ones at the bay above the entrance; these are framed by Ionic columns, while the rest of the eastern bays are separated by Renaissance ornamented panels on the piers; the western four bays are framed by stone pilasters. Three black metal fire escapes with small landings zig-zag down the facade, which is crowned by a boldly-projecting black metal roof cornice with dentils and modillions.
The west facade on the avenue has two bays of single-windows at the north end (one of which is bricked-in), five single-window bays in the middle (the 4th one narrower), and three more single-window bays at the south end. A stone string course cross the base of the 3rd floor, with a wider band course below the 4th. All the 2nd-floor windows are round-arched, with red stone voussoirs, and there is banding across the lower half. Stone quoins frame the edges of the 2nd-3rd floors. The 6th-floor windows are also round-arched, but with bead moldings across the beige stone voussoirs. The windows all have simple red stone sills and the square-headed ones have simple stone lintels. The north end bay at the 4th floor has the same projecting balconette, column, and pediment arrangement as seen on the north facade. The top floor has brown stone pilasters framing each bay, with a dentiled brown stone band course below. A fire escape runs down the south end of the facade, and the same roof cornice continues onto this facade.
The building contains 56 apartment units. The ground floor is occupied by a Chase Bank branch.
