There are two "Fuerza Eólica del Istmo" wind farms, denoting phase I and II of this project. They are both located (in a long line of turbines 700 m south of the highway) about 4-8 km west of the village of La Ventosa, about 15 km north of Juchitán de Zaragoza, in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Commissioned in 2011 (20 turbines, west section) and 2012 (12 turbines, east section), they consist of a total of 32 Clipper Liberty C93 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 80 MW.
