USA / Connecticut / Waterbury / Waterbury, Connecticut
NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, interesting place, train station, Italianate style (architecture), historic landmark

Designed c. 1909 in the Italian Renaissance style by McKim, Mead and White as a station for the New Haven Railway. The interior waiting area featured a grand vaulted ceiling with tiling by Guastavino Fireproof Construction Co. The exterior features an iconic clocktower which has become a symbol of the area.

After falling rail traffic, the station closed and was converted into offices for the Republican-American Newspaper in the 1970's. Since then the interior has been modified somewhat for that purpose. It is also now on the National Register of Historic Places.
