Building constructed around late 1957 and restaurant reopened on May 3, 1958 at 2pm by original owners Rudolph "Rudy" and Helene Stiphany, its original location was located at 901 W Ludington Ave. (currently Snyder's Shoreline Inn). That location was opened on July 12, 1949 and closed for the season on its last day on September 15, 1957. It was decided by the owner to relocate Dairy Queen to this location due to the old roller skating rink (located across W Loomis St.? or S Lakeshore Dr.?) being destroyed by fire around Summer 1957(?).
