5-story Neo-Grec residential building completed in 1885. Designed by Thom & Wilson, it is clad in purple-painted brick with grey stone trim. The entrance to the upper floors is at the west end on the short north facade, with a glass door in a green-painted stone surround. To the left are two short round-arched windows set up high, above a projecting wall enclosing waste bins, and at the east end is a projecting, short extension of the metal-and-glass storefronts lining the avenue side, with plate-glass and a sloped, curving copper roof. The storefronts along the ground floor have thin, black iron piers, and a black iron lintel across the top.
The upper floors on the east facade have a center bay of paired windows. To the south is a bay of single-windows next to a bay of small bathroom windows, followed by a bay of paired single-windows where the outer one is taller, and an end bay of taller single-windows. To the north is a bay of extremely narrow windows, a bay of bathroom windows, a shorter and taller single-window, and an end bay of taller single-windows. All of the windows have grey stone sills and there are painted bands below each floor. Also connecting the bays are bands with either dogstooth brickwork (2nd & 4th floors) or angled, vertical bricks (3rd & 5th floors), lined at the top and bottom by grey stone bands. There are two slightly-projecting chimney shafts without ornament except for the carved stone bases. A purple metal fire escape runs down the center bay.
The upper floors on the north facade have four bays of single-windows with the same grey bands and also cornices. Another fire escape runs down the two middle bays. The south facade, also in purple brick, has three bays of single-windows and another fire escape. The ground floor is occupied by Johnny Was women's clothing store, Black Press Coffee, and KT Collection jewelers.
