5-story Renaissance/Romanesque-revival residential building completed in 1888. Designed by Thom & Wilson, it is clad in beige-painted brick above a stone ground floor, with metal-and-glass storefronts along the avenue. The stone around the south storefront is painted grey, continuing around to the south facade, where there are three small display windows at the west end. At the east end is the residential entrance, with an aluminum-framed glass door, sidelight, and transom flanked by white stone pilasters that erupt into flower-adorned brackets topped by lion heads; these support an entablature with a floral panel and cornice.
The upper floors on the south facade have three bays of single-windows, round-arched on the 2nd floor. The arches have keystones and dogstooth outlines, and a string course caps the 2nd floor. The longer west facade on the avenue has five bays of paired windows and single-window end bays. Like the south facade, they are round-arched at the 2nd floor.
At the 3rd-4th floors on both facades, there are slightly projecting, paired piers flanking the bays, with simple capitals at the top of the 4th floor. The middle bays have spandrels between these two floors consisting of a 3-by-3 grid of small, projecting squares that alternate having rosettes or pyramid shapes. Outward of the four corners are four more small squares with sunflowers. The end bays (and bays next to the ends) have carved spandrel panels with foliate ornament. At the top floor, the center bay and those next to the end bays have the paired windows enclosed by segmental-arches. Both facades are crowned by a black metal roof cornice with modillions and a patterned frieze. A black metal fire escape runs down the center bay of the west facade, with another at the east bay of the south facade.
The building contains 16 apartment units. The ground floor along the avenue is occupied by Joe & The Juice, Faherty Superior Garments, and Intimissimi clothing store.
