5-story Renaissance-revival (with Gothic elements) residential building originally completed in 1887 as a rowhouse. Designed by Thom & Wilson, it is clad in light-grey stone. There was originally a stoop to the parlor-floor entrance, later removed and replaced by a basement (near ground-level) entrance. It is in the east bay, with a paneled wood-and-glass door in a fluted molding, down a couple steps from the sidewalk. There are two windows to the right, behind a low iron fence and some shrubs.
The former parlor-floor (now the 2nd floor) is set off by a broad band course and has three single-windows. The outer two are framed by pilasters with small Corinthian capitals carrying flattened round-arches with keystones and foliate carvings including birds. The center window is framed by wider pilasters with fluting topped by triangles at their middle sections. These pilasters carry large scrolled brackets at the top of the 2nd floor, supporting the base of the projecting bay window at the center of the 3rd floor. To the outside of the angled panes of the bay window there is a recessed panel on each side. A stone cornice wraps around the base of the projecting bay window, with a black metal cornice at the top.
The 4th floor has a tripartite arrangement of windows, with the center one slightly wider and topped by a rounded pediment. To the sides of the tripartite window are carved panels with sunbursts and phoenix figures. The top floor has four narrow windows at the center, with simple leaf carvings to the sides, and vertical rows of small rosettes above short, projecting, paneled pilasters below at the ends. There are small fluted pilasters between each window. A simple metal coping caps the roof line.
