145-foot,12-story modernist education building originally completed in 1904 as a hotel. Designed by Mulliken & Moeller, it is now a part of the New York Institute of Technology's Manhattan campus. The facade was replaced in 1964 for NYIT with a glass curtain wall designed by Horace Ginsbern & Associates. Both the glass and the metal mullions are grey-brown, above a recessed 1-story base of glass and metal behind an arcade of grey stone piers. There is a very slightly-recessed, narrow, 6-story bay at the west end on 61st Street where the building connects to the neighboring building.

The south facade, facing into the interior of the block, is clad in buff-colored brick, and has three bays of single-windows near the center. There is a brick-clad mechanical penthouse rising from the west part of the roof on the south side.
