"Locust Knoll"/"Mayknoll" (Roslyn Harbor, New York)

Residence built for Anna Eliza Cairns for her daughter Ellen and son-in-law, Robert Stuart c. 1855 in the Victorian style. Three years after Robert's death, Ellen married Elijah Ward and they resided there until the late 1800's. It was purchased in the early 1900's by New York stockbroker Henry Herbert Hoggins who renamed the estate "Mayknoll".

It was purchased in 1948 by William Joseph Casey, Jr. who converted some of the service outbuildings into separate homes for members of the family.
