Ryan Island, Washington lies off the northwestern corner of Puget Island at the mouth of the Cathlamet Channel. Directly across the channel from Ryan Island are the Hunting Islands. Ryan Island is 1.1 miles long and is named for Martin Ryan, who acquired the island in 1917. In 1982 the U.S. Board of Geographic Names made official "Ryan Island".
