Inwood is a neighborhood in the extreme upper part of New York City's Borough of Manhattan. It is the northernmost section of the island itself, though not the farthest reaches of the borough - a distinction that belongs to Marble Hill. Inwood was inhabited by the Irish through most of the 1900s but has recently become predominantly Dominican.
