Three-story former bank building, constructed between 1905-1906 (some say it's 1907), this building used to be Ludington National Bank (originally located at 123 West Ludington Avenue) until 1928, First National Bank & Trust Co. until around mid-February 1934, and National Bank of Ludington from February 23, 1934 until October 13, 1965. The bank was relocated to 130 East Ludington Avenue and reopened on October 14, 1965. This building was remodeled in 1966 and converted into a mixed-use commercial building. The first and second floor was renovated with new lighting and carpeting, a roof line was added over the building's first floor plus replacing the small windows with large picture windows, and an elevator was added in the hallway at the eastern (left) entrance to the building. The third floor was renovated later in the decade. The building was renamed to City Center Building on February 9, 1967.
Today, the mixed-use commercial building currently contains an insurance agency, a real estate agency, a barbershop, and a used bookstore on the first floor; a tax preparation center, a medical and diagnostic clinic, and a lawyer's office on the second floor; a construction organization/company on the third floor.
This building has three entrances: one at 102 East Ludington Avenue, at 101 South James Street, and an elevator access at the eastern (left) entrance of the building, which is located next to Engels Insurance Agency.
