Border Winds wind farm is located about 7 miles (11 km) NNE of the town of Rolla, North Dakota. Commissioned in 2015, it consists of 75 Vestas V100/2000 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 150 MW.

Note: The present/original/2017 outline is incomplete. The available imagery is dated to 2014, which shows the project during construction: there are no turbines erected, some turbine sites (25) are advanced enough to show the precise turbine location, other sites (17) show an approximate location and the remaining sites (33) are completely unknown. The true wind farm boundary may thus be further east, further west or further south (or all three) than has been drawn. Note also that only the 25 precisely known turbine locations have been tagged.
