Residence built c. 1938 in the Colonial Revival style by noted modernist architect Walter Uhl for an unknown owner. Uhl was the builder of Flower Hill Estates in Manhasset as well as developments in Plandome, Great Neck, Port Washington, Jericho, Muttontown, and Syosset. Uhl was also known for incorporating exceptional details like elegant banisters, curved paneled walls, and a hidden telephone booth in the den. In 1998, a kitchen and master bedroom addition was added.
Leon Kraus was the owner of the Bayside store A. Kraus & Son until it closed in 2005.
