Property once part of the 150-acre estate "Cassleigh" designed by McKim, Mead & White for Augustus Cass Canfield c. 1902. Landscaping by Olmsted. Later acquired by John D. Ryan {Anaconda Copper Mining} who changed name of estate to "Derrymore".

It was demolished in 1940 but Ryan's son's estate home next door remains as part of the Summit at High Point development.
