Notes: This lumber mill complex is a good example of the kind of large-scale facilities that were built in response to the growing lumber industry in this region of Arkansas. In its heyday, the lumber mill also boasted a "company town" around it, with at least 60 homes that were inhabited by plant workers. All of these homes are now gone, but the plant itself still operates. Historically, Doniphan Lake was used to store logs before being processed.
