Residence c. 1928 in the modified Dutch Colonial Revival style for Harry A. Persell {military}. Persell had served as a Chief of United States Army Personnel for the National Guard Bureau in addition to being a veteran of the Spanish-American War, Mexican border campaign, and both World Wars. His wife, Mabel, was involved with the Nassau County Woman's Republican Committee and the Garden City Women's Club.
