"Frank Hissar", or Frenkhisar, is a place, former quarter, in Veliko Tarnovo. It is located in the historical part of the southeastern side of Tsarevets Hill, surrounded on all sides by the Yantra River.
This was possibly the area inhabited by foreign merchants who had settled in medieval Tarnovo, as evidenced by the Turkish-period name "Frenk Hisar" or "Frenghisar" (Frankish City).
