NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, industrial building, commercial building, historic district
The northern portion of this complex consists of the shells of a pair of historic buildings dating originally to 1943. The buildings have always been associated with Tyson Poultry, but they underwent a complete gutting and expansion in 2016. Originally, there was a third building fronting on East Meadow Avenue, but this was razed to make way for the new structure. All three historic buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on September 23rd, 2011 as a historic district, with historic significance in the area of agriculture. It is unclear if the demolition of the third building, along with the construction and alterations to the remaining two will affect this listing.
