The Jacob & Anna Harder House (1970-1972) was designed by renowned organic, eclectic modern architect Bruce Goff (1904-1982). Prior to the completion of the more famous Glen Harder House near by (tragically burned down in 1994), Goff designed this house for Glen Harder's retired Mennonite parents. Jacob Harder remembered the unique design shocked some residents: "When we first moved into the house some of our neighbors were alarmed . . . they thought some kind of satanic ritual was going on here."
