House of Urtenu

Large house that belonged, at the beginning of 12th century b.c.e, to high social status man named Urtenu. A two-storey house, the ground level appears organized around a central paved courtyard. The quality of the materials found in this house testify the wealth and the social preminence of the occupants. Archaeologists found here an archive of tablets: mainly letters and economic texts.
