5-story cooperative-apartment building originally completed as twin rowhouses in the mid-1800s. They were converted to furnished rooms in 1937, and then combined and converted to apartments in 1954, with a new facade designed by Alexander Zamshnick. It is faced in rusticated, light-brown-painted stone. The ground floor has a central, white-painted entrance covered by a rounded brown canvas canopy. The door is framed by fluted pilasters and is topped by a transom. On either side of the entrance is a double-window. The upper floors each have four bays of single-windows with projecting sills. Air-conditioning vents have been cut below the outer-bay windows. A simple metal cornice caps the roof line.
