Marriott Vacation Club Pulse

USA / New Jersey / West New York / West 37th Street, 33

210-foot, 19-story modernist hotel completed in 2009 and opened as the Strand Hotel. It was rebranded as the Marriott Vacation Club Pulse in 2016, and began operating as a timeshare property. Set back from the sidewalk, it has a ground floor of stainless steel and glass framed by black stone, with a stainless steel canopy extending out to the sidewalk. There are three flagpoles to the right of the canopy.

The upper floors are clad in grey pre-cast panels and green-tinted glass with silver metal framing. Two vertical piers divide the three middle bays (with curtain wall windows), while the two end bays are slightly recessed, with spandrel panels between each floor. The hotel has 177 guest rooms, and there is a small rooftop bar facing the Empire State Building.
