Notes: This recreational facility consists of four cabins, a recreation building (Desoto Hall), two staff buildings, a dam, and the resulting man-made lake. The complex was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), a New Deal program that operated between 1933 and 1942. The program provided work for unmarried, unemployed men who were struggling to find work during the Great Depression.
