On April 14, 1934, the inaugural flight of the route São Paulo / Uberaba, the airline Vasp, with two bimotores Monospar of four seats, marked the beginning of the activities of the then Field of Aviation of Uberaba.

The Passenger Terminal was inaugurated in the 50's. But only in 1958, when the City made the donation of the Field of Aviation to the Ministry of Aeronautics, the aerodrome was high on the condition that airport, with the name of Santos Dumont Airport, now called the Airport of Uberaba.

Administered since 1980 by Infraero, the airport has a runway of Uberaba, asfaltada landing of 1,759 m long and 45 m wide. It is located at 3 km from the city of Uberaba. It has parking for 83 vehicles, four vacancies for the disabled, and the passenger terminal of 1,230 metres with a capacity of 130 thousand passengers a year.
