7-story office building completed in 1913. It is clad in reddish-brown brick above a modern ground-floor storefront of black metal and glass. The 5th Avenue facade has two bays of tripartite windows with transoms above split into two halves, all framed in thick dark-grey iron; the longer north facade spans four wide bays of twin, joined tripartite windows and transoms, and an additional bay at the east end of narrow double-windows. At the ground floor of this bay is the entrance to the upper floors, framed by fluted stone pillars and topped by an entablature spelling out 298 FIFTH AVENUE is gold metal lettering.

At the top floor, the narrow end bay has a round-arch above the window; the other bays have paneled roof parapets with simple diamond shapes in the brickwork at the center. Each has a shallow peaked gable at the parapet. The ground floor was occupied by Willoughby's Camera, established in 1898 until closing in 2017. It is now occupied by Blank Street Coffee.
