Lockheed Beaumont Site 1 showing additional land included in the 9,100 acres. Unfortunately, Wikimapia will not allow me to draw the entire map at one time, therefore I had to draw it in parts.
To see the entire map go to Lockheed Martin web site: www.lockheedmartin.com/content/dam/lockheed/data/corpor... If this link does not connect you to the appropriate website, then copy and paste it to your search engine and then it should work. Lockheed's maps show the property extends west past State Rout 79 for about 100 yards and then south to Gilman Springs Road, then south east along Gilman Springs Road about 2 miles, then due north into the mountains for about 1 mile, then a 90 degree turn to the east and proceeds north east in steps with 90 degree angles and goes just west of the San Jacinto Tunnel Potrero Shaft, then due north into the rocky hills until it becomes even with the eastwest line at the north side of the explosive storage revetments and then to the point of beginning. This is a rough idea of the plot of Lockheed land and not a legal description. On the Lockheed Martin website entitled: Summary Remedial Investigation Report Lockheed Martin Corporation Beaumont Site 1, Beaumont, California (Revised November 19, 2010) you find the map of the entire property overlayed against major roads in the area. This will give you a perspective on how vast Lockheed's 9,100 acres was. Figure 2-2 has a map showing the location of many facilities on the site: the landing strip, the heliport, the Betatron, the Rocket Fuel Mixing Station, the Rocket Test Stand where 120 inch diameter (10 feet in diameter) huge rocket motors were tested for the space race.
