Add category
1-story electrical substation owned and operated by Consolidated Edison, completed sometime in the mid-1900s. The equipment housings are surrounded by a red brick wall on a granite base. On the 7th Avenue frontage, there is a taller section near the middle with a very tall blue door framed in stone. There is a vent on either side, with a column of textured brickwork above. To the north of the tall section, there is a bay of light-colored brick, with three more to the south. The lower sections are topped by a metal railing. On the south elevation is a metal roll-down vehicle gate.
