The monument was erected in 1910. Bacho Kiro, Ivan Panov Semerdzhiev and other participants in the April Uprising of 1876, hanged in Tarnovo, are buried here. Before that, Chetniks from Filip Totyu's detachment of 1867 were also buried here.
