SpringHill Suites New York Midtown Manhattan

USA / New Jersey / West New York / West 37th Street, 25

200-foot, 19-story modernist hotel completed in 2013. Designed by Gene Kaufman, it is the middle property of three adjoining hotels that are all set back from the sidewalk. The facade is clad in white pre-cast concrete, with an irregular pattern of windows, some set apart as separate double-windows, and others grouped together in wide bands. The ground floor has a glass facade, an angled central entrance, and a metal canopy (partly painted white and partly lime-green) extending out to the sidewalk.

On the right half of the facade are four lime-green-painted square projections, at different floors and locations, each with a large square window in the middle; plus another rectangular projection with three windows higher up. Above the 17th floor, the facade slopes back at an angle, with a glass curtain wall on the top two floors. Atop the roof are mechanical penthouses and a tall water tank. The hotel has 173 guest suites.
