This is mining lease ML1331 which is for the Airly coal mine which is 100% owned by Centenneial Coal. It was granted October 12, 1993 with an expiry date of October 12, 2035. The lease falls under Act Year 1992 and has an area of 2745 hectares.

Airly is an underground continuous mine and place change operation which produces thermal coal for domestic and export use with a production capacity of 1.8 million tonnes per year. As of 2015 remaining reserves were approximately 33.7 million tonnes which equates to around 18.7 years. Prepared coal is shipped to domestic customers or by rail for export at Port Kembla. Centennial acquired the min in 1997 and after construction it opened in 2009 with a life of mine of 25 years. In late 2012 to February 2014 it was in care and maintenance. due to market conditions.
