Chersky (Russian: Че́рский) is an urban locality (a settlement) and the administrative center of Nizhnekolymsky District of the Sakha Republic, Russia, located on the Kolyma River 1,920 kilometers (1,190 mi) east of Yakutsk. Population: 2,857 (2010 Census preliminary results); 3,832 (2002 Census); 11,176 (1989 Census).
