Historic railroad logging site listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

Time period: 1899-1902
Areas of significance: Industry; Agriculture
Area: 40 acres
Date added to NRHP: 2/24/1995

This 40-acre tract of land is a relatively well preserved example of the clear-cut results of railroad logging. The site is significant in that it preserves evidence of early logging techniques that did not employ any kind of structured conservation or sustainable practices, with the current rather barren landscape being the result. The site contains about 290 Ponderosa Pine stumps and 44 live trees, as well as railroad berms and a line of railroad ties that show the route of the railroad. The iron rails were removed from the site and scrapped when logging was concluded in the area.
