Former location on the former right of way of WA 504 (Spirit Lake Highway). Located near the toe of the debris avalanche from the May 18, 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens, Camp Baker was a major logging camp for the Weyerhaeuser Corporation. The camp was destroyed on May 18'Th due to major mudflows that hit the North Fork Toutle River valley. Due to the mudflows, a good amount of its standing stock was swept downriver which caused major damage to structures downriver.
