Second Empire-style row houses, located at 2000-2004 17th Street, N.W., in the U Street Corridor of Washington, D.C. Built in 1875 by Frederick Douglass, the homes are contributing properties to the Strivers' Section Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Douglass' son Lewis Henry Douglass inherited the properties and lived at 2002 17th Street NW from 1877 until his death in 1908.
