Muslim Sanctuary "Gaazi Baba Teke"

The Muslim sanctuary is at 8 km westward of Sevlievo Town, on the mountain top called "Teketo". There is a 2nd class asphalt road (5 km long) witch leads from the top to Ryahovtsi village and a dirt road (3 km long) witch is steep but not dangerous for cars. Every year in June a great celebration takes place in Ryahovtsi and people from neighbouring villages and Sevlievo take part in it. The consulates of Turk Republic and the mufti also send their representatives. The celebration is connected with a legend about one of the brothers belonging to the Demir’s family whose tomb and sarcophagus are visited by people. No one dares to cut woods in the forest surrounding this place for fear of retribution. The place can be visited from April to November.
