4-story Greek-revival residential building originally completed in 1843 as a 3-story townhouse for Nicholas Ludlam. It is clad in orange brick above a brownstone basement. The high stoop on the left has its original iron railings, and leads to a parlor-floor entrance with black wood-and-glass double-doors and a transom in a brownstone enframement surmounted by a cornice. To the right are two tall single-windows, below which are two basement windows.

The upper floors have three bays of single-windows, with brownstone sills and cornices. The dentiled, white metal roof cornice is also original. A 4th-floor studio was added in 1926, somewhat set back from the front facade.
