5-story cooperative-apartment building originally completed in 1833 as one of a row of 2-story houses. It was raised in the late 1800s to five floors and extensively altered. It is clad in red brick with a different kind of brick at the ground floor. The recessed doorway is flanked by cast-iron columns which are fluted at the top and paneled below. The windows have heavy corniced lintels and the building is crowned by a bracketed cornice with dentiled molding.
