apartment building, 1820s construction
5-story cooperative-apartment building originally completed in the 1820s as a pair of 3-story townhouses. In 1950 they were joined, raised to five floors and recovered in a new brick facade, as well as extended to the rear. It is clad in beige brick with four bays of large, triple-casement windows, and a narrow brown brick band running between the 2nd and 3rd floors. The center of the roof line is capped by a parapet, with iron railings on either side. A metal canopy covers the entrance. The eastern elevation is clad in red brick.
