A row of 3-story residential buildings completed together in the 1850s a rowhouses. There were originally 10 houses in the row, but the northern ones were demolished and replaced by the current Jane Street Garden. The southernmost house at 11 8th Avenue was raised to become a 5-story apartment building. The remaining houses are clad in orange brick above varied storefronts, and are all crowned by simple cornices with fascia below. The ground floors are occupied by House of Cards & Curiosities, Phoenix Roze jewelry, Chocolate Bar, Left Bank Books, and a barber shop.
