5-story residential building originally completed as two separate but identical buildings in 1883. Designed by Ralph S. Townsend, they are clad in contrasting smooth-surfaced and rock-faced stonework and are decorated by sculptural motifs. These include the heavy cornice above the first story and the projecting lintels above the windows. Sculptured human heads serve as keystones of the arched windows and doors of the first floor. The roofline is crowned by a boldly stepped cornice in which brackets and fan-shaped motifs alternate. A pair of fire escapes run down either side of the facade.
