5-story residential building consisting of three joined structures, all originally completed around 1880. They now have matching facades, seamless across the two facing the avenue; the west structure on 48th Street is separated from the other two by a narrow 1-story section with a doorway.

The facades are clad in red brick (painted red on the ground floor, except for along the avenue, where there are metal-and-glass storefronts. This facade spans seven bays of single-windows, all with white-painted stone sills and eared lintels joined between the windows. The ground floor of the western north facade has three shorter windows with iron grilles next to the edge of the storefront; further to the west are two metal roll-down gates, followed by the 1-story entry section. The west structure has a matching entrance at the western of its three bays. Both have glass-and-metal doors with transoms, set behind ornamental black iron gates, and both up small sets of steps also behind black iron gates. There are paired wall lanterns flanking each entrance and white-painted cornices on top. Between the two entrances are two single-windows. The upper floors of the west structure have three bays of single-windows, with sills and lintels matching those on the east facade. The east structure\'s upper floors have seven more widely-spaced bays of single-windows, with similar sills and lintels.

A black iron fire escape runs down the east end of the east structure\'s north facade, with another fire escape over the east two bays of the west structure, and third fire escape in the narrow space between the two main structures. All the main facades are crowned by black metal roof cornices with brackets, panels, and modillions. The ground floor along the avenue is occupied by Eats on 48 Marketplace, Abace Sushi, and El Mil Sabores restaurant.
